From Paris to La Castellane

World-renowned designer and textile maven Kathryn M. Ireland has hosted family, friends, and design industry insiders at La Castellane, her French countryside retreat in the Midi-Pyrénées, for more than 15 years. In September 2026, Kathryn would love to welcome you!

But first: How about a trip to Paris?

We’ll kick off this special retreat in the City of Lights, where we’ll spend a day attending the international design fair Maison&Objet and a day shopping the city’s flea markets. Then, suitcases packed with new finds and plenty of design inspiration, we’ll take the train south to the Midi-Pyrénées, where we’ll spend the rest of the retreat.

The Retreat

Attend Maison&Objet and Shop the Paris Flea Markets

Our retreat’s first stop is the Maison&Objet international design fair in Paris, which showcases the latest in decor & design, craft, fashion, and more. While in Paris, we’ll also spend a day shopping at the famous flea markets and dine at Ralph’s, one of Kathryn’s favorite spots in the city. Then we’ll ride the TGV down south to Montauban, near Toulouse.

Stay and Learn at La Castellane

Join design workshops, one-on-one sessions with Kathryn, and special guest conversations — all in the comfort and luxury of Kathryn’s private retreat in the Midi-Pyrénees. Bring a design project to work on — or get inspired for your next one!

Enjoy Fabulous Food & Fine French Wine

Our classically trained chefs showcase the best of local produce and regional tradition for meals that are served at our stunning communal table in the barn or al fresco under the oak trees. Also on the menu: wine tastings, cocktail parties, and late-night dance parties.

Treasure Hunt in Medieval Towns

For even more design inspiration, we’ll take excursions to local medieval towns for stunning architecture, atelier pop-ins, museum visits, and shopping at brocantes — France’s famous outdoor flea and antique markets — with Kathryn as your trusted guide.

Relax in the French Countryside

Surrounded by rolling fields, lush gardens, and hillsides full of sunflowers, La Castellane offers ample opportunities to relax, explore, and have fun. Look forward to flower arranging, countryside hikes, plenty of pool time, and, of course, a million laughs.
